A Trip to Presque Isle State Park

The next stop was the beautiful scenic Presque Isle State Park. There are lots to do here, from paddle boating, kayaking. swimming in one of their 11 beaches, exploring some history, planning your own intimate picnic or just simply relaxing and taking in the lovely atmosphere.
Always be sure to check out the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources’s website to see the park status, swimming conditions, and also additional activities and ideas of what to do before your visit.

Michael and I simply drove and walked through the park to see what we’d want to do. We agreed to just have a more relaxing day since we intended to go on the Scallywags boat cruise that evening.

Then we took a tour of the Presque Isle State Park Lighthouse

We went up those stairs and it wasn’t as bad as I expected, (living in a 5- floor walk-up and hating stairs) and it was worth it.
