My Top Self-Care Tips for 2023

In today’s world, taking care of oneself remains an essential part of maintaining overall well-being and coping with modern challenges. Here are some top self-care tips to consider:

  1. Create more structure or have a repeat activity daily. The loss of a more routine life wasn’t working for me or my dog. I have a fairly large backyard initially I just took my dog back there, however walking him meant getting dressed and put together before my day working from home.
  2. Digital Detox and Boundaries: Take regular breaks from electronic devices and set boundaries for screen time to reduce digital fatigue and improve focus. Disconnecting from technology can help you stay present and reduce stress. Create a Quiet Space inside your home, outside, your car, etc where you can retreat.
  3. Mindfulness and Meditation: Practice mindfulness and meditation to enhance self-awareness, reduce anxiety, and improve emotional regulation. These techniques can help you navigate the complexities of life with more clarity and calmness.
  4. Physical Activity and Exercise: Incorporate regular physical activity into your routine, whether it’s going to the gym, participating in sports, or simply taking daily walks. Exercise boosts mood, improves cardiovascular health, and reduces the risk of chronic diseases.

Whenever I felt stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or just wanted to get lost in my thoughts. Lightning a candle, walking through the house burning sage, or dabbing myself with calming essential oils is my thing.
