Here we are Day 7 on 14 Days of Love 2019! This isn’t your typical Valentine’s Day post, but this is just me sharing with you something Michael and I did together.
On the last day of my trip to Atlanta Michael and I decided to make a trip to the Martin Luther King Jr Center. If you haven’t noticed from our trips to Kinzua Bridge State Park, Manitowoc County Historical Society, and Presque Isle State Park we love visiting National Parks, Museums and I enjoy learning about American history.
We had a great time exploring the King Center. Our tour started with walking along the Civil Rights Walk of Fame, down to the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site Visitor Center, where we had our own self guided tour.
After exiting the Visitor Center we went through the International World Peace Rose Garden and traveled to Freedom Hall. We explored the gift shop and then proceeded to go outside to view the crypt of Dr. and Mrs. King, the Eternal Flame, the Freedom Walkway, and the beautiful Reflecting Pool.
We then went to the bookstore, visited the Fire Station and the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Please enjoy some pictures highlighting our visit.
