So I’ve been giving reviews on all the small businesses we visited doing our travels. But I’ve decided to not limit it to where we travel to but just all the great small businesses we visit. Living in a new state that has a ton of small businesses and farms might as well tons of content for me to create!
So I’ll be reviewing the Service, Ambience, Hygiene, Food, and Value.
So we decided to visit The Depot in Green Bay, we’ve been here before but that was a few years ago and under different ownership. (We found out while there)
Service: It was busy but we were seated promptly. The staff was also very attentive and friendly.
Ambiance: It had the ambiance of a sports pub. Music was not overwhelming or too loud, you can still have a conversation.
Hygiene: Clean, bathroom was in order. I know most of us decide if we’re eating someplace depending on the bathroom.
Food: Now this is what it comes down to after all it’s a restaurant! For appetizers we ordered poutine. I love poutine and oddly I don’t see much of it on menus at restaurants here in Wisconsin. We also tried their clam chowder which I finished in about 3 minutes. I ordered the Blackened Salmon that comes with wild rice but I opted for mashed potatoes, I was in the mood for some mashed potatoes. It was seasoned to perfection! Michael ordered the shrimp andouille pasta I had a bite and it was also really good. We ended our meal with dessert – a strawberry shortcake.
Value – The prices were reasonable. They are not overpriced. They provided great food portions also.
I definitely recommend The Depot! Check out their website for the address, their hours, menu, and more details.
